What is CDHCI?
Client‑Directed Home Care Invoicing (CDHCI) is an Alberta program that lets eligible Home & Community Care clients choose their preferred home‑care provider and have services invoiced directly to AHS/Alberta Blue Cross up to pre‑authorized monthly hours. You keep control of your schedule and care plan — we handle the staffing, delivery, and invoicing.

Frequently asked questions
Do I pay anything out of pocket?
For services delivered within your authorized CDHCI hours, we invoice AHS/Alberta Blue Cross directly and you are not billed. If you request hours beyond your authorization, we can provide private‑pay options.
Can you help me apply for CDHCI?
Yes. We’ll guide you on contacting AHS for assessment and what information to prepare. Final eligibility and hours are determined by AHS.
Which staff provide care?
Depending on your plan, services are delivered by trained Health Care Aides, and where required, Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses.
Can you coordinate with my family and clinic?
Absolutely. With your consent, we share visit summaries and coordinate with family caregivers and healthcare providers.
What if I need to change or cancel a visit?
Call or email us at least 24 hours in advance when possible. We’ll reschedule within your authorized hours where feasible.
